Special Session 88(2) | June 27, 2023 – Present<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first special session has come to an end with no new bills being passed. We are now in the second special session with Property Tax cuts being the only priority. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Governor has vetoed more than 76 bills this past week, which is the second highest in history! Most of the bills originated in the Senate, adding fuel to his feud with Lt. Gov. Patrick. “At this time, the legislature must concentrate on delivering property tax cuts to Texans,” <\/em>Abbott said in multiple veto proclamations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
