Cheri is a life-long Republican and a long-time Texan. Born in Colorado to a conservative family, she became active in the Republican party early, achieving great success as a fundraiser. While working with Service Corporation International—at the time the largest funeral home business in the world—she developed a ground-breaking social program for widows and widowers. The program was such a success that she was asked to transfer to the corporate headquarters in Houston to lead and manage the program for funeral homes throughout the country.
Seeking a new challenge, Cheri later moved into the banking industry in Texas, specializing in mortgages for homebuilders. She retired in 2015 and moved to New Braunfels, where she is a daytime hostess at The Reel restaurant. Today, she is taking advantage of all our great country has to offer: she is an avid gym rat, a golfer, and a regular at local music venues and happy hours.
She is thrilled to be the new Hospitality Chairman. Make sure you stop by and say hello!
