A native Texan who moved around the country for her career – Northern VA (Wash, DC), L.A., North Carolina – Helen returned “home” to San Antonio, TX in 2006, to be closer to family and long-time friends in the area. She has been a resident of New Braunfels since 2019. Early career opportunities included Fortune 500 regional and corporate positions in engineering, sales, and management in the data networking field (before the internet!)
For the past 25+ years, Helen has worked for a family-owned B-to-C international retail business based in North Carolina. After helping to launch the company’s sales model and training program, Helen has served in numerous positions with the company, including: Product sourcing (domestic and international), vendor relations, product catalog layout and production, product buyer/merchandising/lifecycle, strategic planning, and brand integrity.Helen is now semi-retired with the same company, with plans for full retirement “one of these days.” In her spare time, she volunteers with the St. Vincent de Paul organization at her church, takes part in civic projects as availability and interest permits, and plans the next travel escape (especially to European destinations).
