Kelly Sime

Kelly Sime is a lifelong Constitutional Conservative, and as a new Texan (she and husband Mark moved to NB in July, 2022), feels blessed by our state’s “order of business”: God, family, country. 

Kelly’s formal education includes a BA in Economics with a Minor in Political Science from Northern Illinois University, Dekalb, IL, and a Master of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary, Chicago, IL. 

Her professional background includes 15 years with the American Bar Association (budgeting and finances, committee management, publications production/editing and meeting planning and execution), and 20 years as a Minister of Word and Sacrament with particular gifting in preaching, pastoral care, mission (China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Russia, Mexico, and Spain) and interim pastorates where she worked to heal and rejuvenate churches in conflict and/or decline. In addition, she was appointed to and served on numerous presbytery committees and commissions culminating in service to her then denomination, as Moderator of the Presbytery of Wabash Valley. She currently works part-time as a school counselor in Seguin, Texas.

Past hobbies have included community theater (The Lark, Agnes of God, Witness for the Prosecution, Androcles and the Lion, Abie’s Irish Rose, The Screwtape Letters, and War of the Worlds) running (3 Chicago Marathons), and volunteer work with the Missouri APA.

Her passions include her faith, husband Mark (Col, Ret, USAF, 2006), canine kids (Fran and Oliver), companion animal welfare, Veterans’ causes, travel, Geneology, and keeping Texas clean.
