Steve was born in Killeen Texas and then moved about the country at a young age where he eventually graduated in Ohio with a BSEE in 1979. He started his career in technology product development in 1976 as an individual contributor. After 10 years involved in the design of multiple products, he began managing engineering and advanced development teams of various sizes and budgets to match. He was on the ground floor of several technology startups that were eventually bought by Fortune 500 companies. The latter half of his career was focused on back-office infrastructure product development delivering high speed data via xDSL, fiber optics, and cable technologies to major carriers in North America and other parts of the world.
After 17 moves/relocations and 44 years in the hi-tech industry, he retired in 2020 where, with his wife Vikki of 47 years, they built their final home in Vintage Oaks. They have 3 daughters, 1 son, and two grandchildren. Steve has many hobbies and interests but most of all is an avid woodworker.
A lifelong Republican, he continues to serve as PAC Treasurer for our organization. He looks forward to helping grow the organization and do his part to maintain conservative values and of course “Keep Texas Red”!
