Meetings and Events

A collage of photos with the words " community event " and " monthly membership meetings ".

On Monday night, January 19th we were honored to donate our normal meeting night at Columbus Hall for the Comal County Republican Candidate Forum. It was an outstanding event. The long list of candidates that came to speak was impressive, as well as the over 300 people that turned out to meet and listen to the candidates. To be an informed voter is so critical in electing our government leaders, especially in today’s environment.

Thank you to the Comal County Republican Party for organizing this fantastic event, with special thanks to Carolyn Besselman and her committee for putting it all together under the leadership of our County Chair Anita Valdez.

Thank you as well to the New Braunfels Young Republicans for setting up chairs and tables, and to all that helped break down the event after it was over. Seeing candidates, precinct chairs and other guests helping in that effort too, proves just what a special place the Republican community in Comal County is and stands for.

Republican Clubs from other parts of Comal County were also there to help work the event and provide other support. And as always, thank you to law enforcement, we so appreciate what you do for us every day to keep our community safe.

The next Candidate Forum will be in Bulverde on February 2nd. The deadline to RSVP was January 15th so for those of you that reserved your spot, we will see you there.

Our next General Membership Meeting will be Monday, February 16th (President’s Day). Donna Campbell, Texas State Senator for District 25, is our scheduled guest speaker.

Community Volunteer Opportunities

A hand writing the word community in a heart shape.

Our organization has been involved in community outreach programs since it was founded over 60 years ago. It’s one of our core values. Whether it’s a food drive, a local parade, a “thank you” to those that protect and serve, or the many others activities and events we’ve been involved with, we strive to give back to the community that we all call our own.

Our last volunteer opportunity was December 13, 2025 (National Wreaths Across America Day). The Vintage Oaks Veterans Organization again organized this tribute to our fallen heroes. The New Braunfels Conservatives were there as usual to help lay wreaths and honor our veterans. If you’re interested in participating in future volunteer opportunities please contact MiMi Greene our Community Outreach Chair at outreach@newbraunfelsconservatives.com.
